About

Hi, I’m Ben, a screenwriter and director based in London and the South East. My films can be characterised as a blend of surreal dark comedy and British realism, all connected by an affection for intimate, character-driven story telling.

My work has received awards and nominations from BAFTA qualifying film festivals such as BIFA, Aesthetica Film Festival and The Royal Television Society in Best Short Film and Best Comedy Film categories.

In 2021 I joined a collective of filmmakers and creatives as Creative Directors of Polyrock Films, an award-winning production company specialising in genre filmmaking.

In 2023 I was awarded membership to BAFTA Connect in recognition of my work as an emerging writer.

I am currently developing a slate of feature film and tv projects. My latest shorts ‘The Nun Slayer’ and ‘Free Spirits’ are set for release on the festival circuit this year.

I am available for music videos and narrative work in shorts, television and feature films in both a screenwriting and directing capacity. Shoot me a message!
