About

Hi, I’m Ben, an award-winning screenwriter and director based in Brighton. My films have been characterised as a unique blend of dark comedy and British realism, all connected by an affection for intimate, character-driven story telling.

My work has been BIFA longlisted and has received awards from Academy Award qualifying and BAFTA qualifying film festivals such as the London Short Film Festival, Flickers’ Rhode Island, Indy Shorts and The Royal Television Society. In 2023 I was awarded membership to BAFTA Connect in recognition of my work as an emerging writer.

I’m currently developing a slate of feature film and tv projects. My latest BFI NETWORK film ‘The Easy Way Out’ will premiere at Aesthetica Film Festival 2026.

As a Lead Writer in the games industry I have spearheaded the adaptation of global IP’s such as The Traitors into interactive fiction games, working closely with partners such as All3Media, Banijay, ITV and the BBC.

I am available for narrative work in shorts, television, games and feature films in both a screenwriting and directing capacity.
