Hi, I’m Ben, a screenwriter and director based in Brighton. My films have been characterised as a unique blend of dark comedy and British realism, all connected by an affection for intimate, character-driven story telling.

My work has been BIFA longlisted and has received awards and nominations from Academy Award qualifying and BAFTA qualifying film festivals such as the London Short Film Festival, Flickers’ Rhode Island, Indy Shorts and The Royal Television Society in Best Short Film and Best Comedy Film categories.

In 2023 I was awarded membership to BAFTA Connect in recognition of my work as an emerging writer.

I am currently developing a slate of feature film and tv projects. My latest BFI Network film ‘The Easy Way Out’ is set for a festival premiere in 2026.

I am available for music videos and narrative work in shorts, television and feature films in both a screenwriting and directing capacity. Shoot me a message!
